Poetry is to me like the Reverberation of the Imaginary Recollections.
Some time ago, mixed feelings created an anxiety within, that led me to read some biographical and scientific books, urging for me to read more and more. And it didn’t take long before I finished reading the Holy Bible twice. Thus, everything appeared much clear, helping me view the way I take pleasure in life now. In addition, when I’m listening to ballads or classic music, my inspiration takes presence as if by magic, connected to the subliminal, providing a total delight, and I wish this could go on more often. Resuming, I am a man of few words, more of devoting myself to abstract thoughts. I like to form my own opinions and express myself by writing poetry. That’s why poetry is to me more than just the imaginary recollections. In the end “I know that I know that I don’t know anything”(Socrates)!
I remember being very happy in my childhood and in the way I write some of the poems, these show just a small fraction of that happiness. Healthy and worry free, I enjoyed all that life had to give, far from the dangers and fears of today’s society, as an adult.
I am grateful to my family for their love and support. I would like to dedicate all my verses to my parents who have passed away, but also, who I deeply admired and will miss forever.
Furthermore, a strong union subsists by a courageous woman, Filomena who is my wife. She helped me become the man who I really am today: Loyal, grateful, sensitive, understanding, honest, more tolerant, respectful and a true believer. “Emotions” my first poem is a good example!
